Yogi Stand Against Love Jihad and Unlawful Conversions

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh has referred to Love Jihad as an agenda of undeclared terrorism against humanity. After watching the movie The Kerala Story which highlights the issue of Love Jihad the Chief Minister praised the film theme and presentation, commending the efforts of the producer director, and the entire team. The Uttar Pradesh government has enacted a special law, the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act, to combat such conspiracies. Since its implementation in November 2020 , 433 cases have been registered under the law, resulting in the arrest of 855 individuals, including 66 cases related to minors. The government maintains a policy of zero tolerance towards any distortion that hinders social unity and poses a threat to humanity.
