The
Uttar Pradesh government has announced a seven-day cleanliness drive to
renovate 75,000 community, public, and pink toilets in the state as part of the
Swachh Bharat Mission Urban. The campaign, aimed at making Uttar Pradesh a
cleaner and greener state, will take place from March 24 to March 30. The
objective is to provide clean toilets to citizens and improve the state ranking
in the Swachh Survekshan 2023. The government will identify toilets in need of
repair or rejuvenation in urban areas and rebuild them during the campaign.
Public participation is being emphasized to ensure sustainable cleanliness, and
local people, businesses, government agencies, and community organizations will
be involved in the drive. The initiative reflects Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath vision for a cleaner state and highlights the government ongoing
efforts to keep urban areas clean through various campaigns.
