The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh is making significant strides towards facilitating the purchase and usage of electric vehicles EVs. By 2030, all government departments and organizations under them in the state will exclusively use EVs. In a move to expedite the process, government departments will be able to procure EVs without going through a tender process. Uttar Pradesh aims to become the first state in India to achieve 100% EV adoption in government departments. Additionally, the government has introduced several incentives in its EV policy, including a 100% exemption on tax and registration fees for three years for the general public.
