Transforming UP cities into safer cities

The cities of Uttar Pradesh are undergoing a transformation towards becoming cleaner and safer under the Smart City Mission. The central and state governments are investing ₹10,000 crore in various projects to make the cities smart. The Integrated Command and Control Center ICCC and Intelligent Traffic Management System ITMS are being implemented in 10 cities, including Agra, Varanasi, and Lucknow, with a budget of ₹2,000 crore. The ICCC helps monitor and ensure the safety of cities, while the ITMS manages traffic efficiently. Additionally, seven more cities are set to receive ITMS and other smart infrastructure, with a budget of ₹271 crore.
