With 17.62 lakh houses already under construction and another 52.50 lakh houses approved under PMAY for rural and urban areas, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is well on its way to achieving its goal. In addition, the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana (MAY) has also been instrumental in providing housing for the rural population, with the construction of 1.08 lakh houses currently underway.
